POLICY Information

World Hunger

The United States government should give money to get the food supplies for poor countries. This is important since every year, millions of people die from food related causes. Its estimated that every 10 seconds a child dies from hunger. It's estimated that 9 million people die from hunger related causes. This number is more than the amount of deaths from AIDs, Malaria, and Tuberculosis combined. This is extremely sad since hunger is a problem that can be solved. Hunger is when someone doesn't know when or where their next meal is coming from. It's when someone is lacking in nutrients. It’s more than just a condition, it’s a feeling of emptiness in the stomach.

POLICY Information

Uighur Camps

The Uighurs are a Muslim ethnic minority in China who are facing injustice -- and even genocide. The Chinese government is forcibly putting Uighurs in concentration camps, claiming that they are “reeducation camps.” At first, China denied the very existence of these camps. However, when more evidence was piled against them, such as images from satellites, they admitted that the camps do exist. Yet, they tried to smooth over the topic, claiming that the camps simply served the purpose of teaching the Uighurs Chinese, laws, and to prevent “extremist ideas from affecting them.” This is not the case. Evidence has shown that the true reason that this minority is in detention is because China wants to wipe them out altogether. The Chinese clutch to the idea that Uighurs are a threat to their society, and as a result of that, they put the Uighurs in appalling conditions. In the camps, the Uighurs are forced to undergo brainwash, such as listening to speeches about China’s political figures and history. They are prohibited from practicing religious customs (like fasting and praying), and even are prohibited from things that barely indicate religious practice, like growing beards. Lastly, many Uighurs claim to undergo torture and forced labor. To help the Uighurs escape from these perilous conditions, the United States should continue its boycott on Chinese products and withdraw support from China (in its economy and surveillance measures). If a superpower like the United States did this, then it may motivate other countries, even those who remain silent on the issue, to speak out. Plus, China will lose some of its revenue. Then, we should gather information to call China out, as embarrassment is something that the Chinese government tends to avoid. Lastly, we should also make the United States a place of refuge for the Uighurs.

POLICY Information

Mexican Drug Cartel

In August 2009, Mexico adopted a new law against small-scale drug dealing, which decriminalizes the possession of small amounts of drugs for personal consumption, while also giving state-level police the authority to apprehend small-scale dealers and toughening sentences for street-level drug dealing. A large segment of Mexico’s people, territory, and economy are falling under the rule of Mexican criminal groups even in areas where violence has not flared up or has declined. However, the way the two largest cartels, the Sinaloa Cartel and Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación, as well as smaller criminal groups take over and rule local people, economies, and territories is not uniform. The Sinaloa Cartel deploys strategies distinct from CJNG. The rule and governance by both cartels also vary regionally, influenced by local structural conditions and political culture and by local leadership of the criminal groups. And they evolve over time.

POLICY Information

Climate Change

Two of the most important climate change policies are: the Kyoto and Paris agreements. Both of which rely on the trust and bonds between other nations to make a difference. The Kyoto agreement was a legally binding contract, in fact it was the first legally binding climate contract ever made and not ratified. The issue with this contract was the fact it didn’t include some of the biggest carbon emitting countries like China and India. The Paris agreement is probably the most important climate contract ever ratified also being one of the most influential containing 193 states including the European union. Every five years the country's that are a part of this agreement are supposed to submit a report on the national climate action plan. This agreement made countries set climate goals to make sure that the global temperature doesn’t rise by 2 degrees Fahrenheit this century and the centuries following even trying to push it and make it 1.5 degrees Celsius. Although in 2017 the US president withdrew the US from the Paris agreement claiming that it was not as influential and important as it should be and saying we don’t need it. If out presidential candidate is elected we will focus on Climate Change as one of out top policies and priorities. We will also put policies in place to help slow down the deterioration on the ozone layer and reduce toxic emissions from factories and cars. Overall the climate agreements help shape the future of our planet and show the progress we have made on repairing the ozone layer and preventing the further damage to the atmosphere and the diverse wildlife on the earth. Our president will do everything she can to reduce carbon emissions and increase sources of renewable energy. These climate agreements may not seem super important but they influence our future and may eventually decide whether or not this planet remains sustainable for life.

POLICY Information

War in Yemen

In the small country of Yemen, there is a vicious civil war happening taking innocent lives every day. U.S involvement in this war has to do with the weapons being supplied to the Yemen government to gain back control of the country from the rebels. War became more brutal and violent in the year 2015 and has been going on ever since. The impact of the war is heavily affecting citizens from air strikes, famines, no clean water, garbage, and sewage overflow, and an outbreak of cholera has caused many to lose their lives. Eighty present of Yemen people are currently in one of the worst humanitarian crises. Two main groups of this war are the Houthi who caused the rebellion against the government when the transfer of power happen between the President Ali Abdullah Saleh to the Vice President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi. The job shortage already happening in Yemen led to the major rebellion by the Houthi. Since 2004 Houthis have been trying to do a rebellion against the Yemen government, it didn't succeed causing much trouble until 2015. Many counties have been using this war as a way to gain more land. Iran involment has been denied but clear evdenice US involvement in this war is providing weapons to the government for Air Strikes. For the U.S to deal with this crisis in Yemen more media coverage about the war and providing fewer weapons for mass killings.

POLICY Information

Medical Marijuana

Our campaign believes that medical marijuana should be available nationwide for anyone with chronic pain. If elected, we will make medical marijuana available across the county medically for people 25 and over to prevent brain damage. Many studies have proof of the powerful and helpful effect marijuana causes in the body. Some states have recreational use, but we believe that it should be a medical necessity not something that should be abused. According to the CDC marijuana is the most used federally illegal drug in the US which can lead to dependence on the drug especially if use starts before the age of 18. Although the fact of the matter is that it directly affects your brain so use should not start until the brain is fully developed around the age of 25. Although many people may agree that the negative effects of marijuana outweigh the positives for many people, that is not the case. The use of medical marijuana is only going to increase as time goes on, so it is best to make it legal now and prevent the illegal drug trade for marijuana from getting worse. One study estimated that approximately 3 in 10 people who use marijuana have marijuana use disorder. Another study estimated that people who use cannabis have about a 10% likelihood of becoming addicted. Although some people experience negative side effects such as: trouble learning or remembering and learning. This should not be thought of as a safe drug though. It is still a drug, and it is still addictive and dangerous. People should be careful when using it and not take more than the recommended dose of marijuana. Medical marijuana is a helpful aid but also a savior when it comes to chronic pain. There are also many ways to consume marijuana, you can smoke it, you can bake it into baked goods, and you can vape it. Overall, marijuana is a positive drug that can help thousands of people.

POLICY Information

Gun Control

After the assassinations of President John Kennedy, Attorney General Robert Kennedy and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the Gun Control Act is passed and imposes stricter licensing and regulation on the firearms industry, establishes new categories of firearms offenses, and prohibits the sale of firearms and ammunition to felons and certain other prohibited persons. It also imposes the first Federal jurisdiction over "destructive devices," including bombs, mines, grenades and other similar devices. Congress reorganizes ATU into the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax Division and delegates to them the enforcement of the Gun Control Act.

POLICY Information

Free or Partially Free College

Going to college is an important part of achieving a career in many high-paying fields of work. Having a free college education as shown in other countries is a major economic booster. In other countries that have made College free such as Germany the economy boasted. The idea of free college brings in the hope that many who can’t afford college can go. High school graduates will have more options for their future. To pay for free college taxes will have to increase from its already increasing rate. $2,200 is the average amount a student get from tex dallor each year for education, the tax will greatly increase for free colleges. Schools may also lose their worth, and the value of a college education can go down. Also, just because a student gets admitted to college, they can still gain debt because of living costs. Students still have to go to college and provide for themselves because free college will result in lowering of the condition of living spaces. Partially free college education given to certain citizens, will result in a Tax increase, but the quality of education should stay the same because education will not be completely free.

POLICY Information

Standardized Testing

Our campaign believes that Standardized tests are counterproductive. They force teachers to change their methods so they can help their students pass the test. Then the tests also give inaccurate information. This makes it difficult for anyone to understand how well or poorly students did on the test. The tests only show how a student can prepare for a test and who understands the current curriculum. The tests compare students to the class before them, so if something happened in between the tests, the numbers and data don’t account for it. The tests also impact teachers. It has also been shown that teachers have changed their teaching styles to match what is being tested on the tests. This shows how the tests have become unproductive since teachers don’t want students to question things, they just want to teach and test.

POLICY Information

Civil Assets

Civil asset forfeiture is when authorities, such as police officers, seize assets from those suspected to be involved in a crime. However, in most cases, it is not clear whether they actually took part in the case. Although the act permitting asset forfeiture was passed in 1789, forfeiture started becoming more prevalent when the war on drugs started (1970). Police officers would often claim that they had seen drugs in a vehicle, or something along those lines, yet they do not typically have sufficient evidence to back up their claims. Even though a necessary amount of evidence is not provided, the victims still have their funds (and other assets) taken away. To combat civil asset forfeiture, we should impose the condition that the police officers have enough evidence to back their claims. The evidence should make it clear that the victim did take part in the crime, with very few loopholes in the accusation. Then, we should spell out how much should be seized for certain crimes, as some hold more gravity than others. Police officers typically take whatever value they want from the victims, but with a set value in place, depending on the prevalence of the crime, this will not be the case. By using the first two steps in civil asset forfeiture reform, the police will be encouraged not to take the funds for their own gain. This is because there is a set value in place, so officers will not be able to take more than what is necessary, and they will know what should be seized, rather than seizing items haphazardly. Finally, the states should ultimately be the ones who decide where to put the appropriated assets and the legislative branch should be the ones who enforce the policy.

Advisory Letter From President

Dear support team and staff of my campaign,

My policy work will be on the free college education and War in Yemen. Free college education can show that it is helpful to the economy and gains more students for colleges, but the education quality will go down. Partially free college education given to certain people of the poverty line will result in the Taxes to increase, but the quality of education should stay the same because education will not be completely free.

War in Yemen is one of the worst humanitarian crises happening in the world. 80 precent of people in Yemen are suffering because of the war. American Government is currently involved in the war by providing weapons to the Yemen government for air strikes against the weapons. Beginning of our policy work should be on gaining more attention to the war and suffering.

From,

Kaylee Hein

Advisory Letter Presidential Spouse

To the staff of the campaign,

The policies I'm gonna focus on are medical marijuana and climate change. These two issues have been major problems in society today. climate change will destroy our planet if we don't make some sort of change in our daily ways. and medical marijuana if made legal would make a massive difference in the prescribing of pain meds. to make an impact on both of these issues we must spread the word about making green choices to save the planet and changing our laws on marijuana to save the brains of our youth.

For more than 13 years I have worked and travelled globally as Chief Marketing Officer/Director of Sales & Marketing for world's largest steel brand - ArcelorMittal. Value driven savings across the global business was a key strategic goal with focus on achieving

synergies across different business units and product lines. Further more I have had the privilege to be a board member for a mining joint venture in Mexico with commercial oversight. With this combination of experience I am confident of playing a positive role at your esteemed company.

Advisory Letter from Campaign Manager

Hey team,

I was playing around with Canva, and I came up with a really cool logo. I also made a second design for more formal events. I wanted the lion to be the main centerpiece of the logo. I think it turned out great, but I would love your input on it. I also was thinking that since we might get extra popularity points if we add merch to this. I've worked with lots of folks with the Texas campaigns, and merch is the key to winning. The stuff I'm thinking of are stickers and pennants. The stickers could be put on almost anything and the pennants are great for people to wave at our campaign rallies. If Sana could make a cartoon version of Kaylee, that would be great. Other than that, I know someone who could make us some pennants. Once we have everything for merch. We can tap into that for our donations to Boulder and use some of it for the other parts of the campaign. If any of you have any more merch ideas let me know. See y'all soon for our next meeting. I have also included the pictures of the logo and flyer.

All the best,

Alaina Shelton

Advisory Letter from Press Secretary

To our President,

I would like to address the disaster at Boulder in our Press Release on the coming Monday. It is our duty to acknowledge such an influential earthquake, as there are people suffering through the aftermath of it. We will have a nonprofit organization by the name of the Boulder Earthquake Funding Project that we will put 2% of funds into – 1% of which will go to gathering resources for those who need resources like water and electricity. Also, we will help people gain awareness of this and donate.

As well as that, the issue of civil asset forfeiture is a pressing matter. I propose instituting the requirement that police officers have proof for their claims and accusations. Another thing we should do is set a fixed amount about how much should be seized for different crimes, if the victim is found guilty. Stating what should be seized and how much should be seized will deter police officers from taking assets for their own gain.

Another issue that comes to mind is the detention of an ethnic minority, Uighurs, in China. The United States should continue its boycott against Chinese products that are made with forced labor and stop supporting its surveillance measures. If a superpower like the United States does this, then perhaps other countries will gain the confidence to follow in our footsteps. Also, we should put effort into gathering more information on the camps (perhaps with satellites) to call China out.

Thank you,

Sana Farook

Press Releases

Press Secretary

Regarding the deeply impactful earthquake that took place at Boulder, our candidate, Kaylee Hein, and our team are deeply concerned. The mental and physical well-being of residents has been displaced, and efforts should immediately be made to suppress the aftermath of the disaster and relocate those who were dispersed. The first step we should take is bringing the earthquake to public attention. One cannot take action without first knowing where the problem at hand is. News reporters should shortly arrive at the sight and advise the general public on television on what actions they should take to support the rebuilding effort of Boulder. I will highlight these steps later in this speech. Then, as not much time will have passed since the earthquake took place, focus should be shifted to a much more important matter -- unearthing those who were reported missing. First, we should clearly define that the public should not tamper with professionals’ work. Using an advanced device by the name of FINDER, which detects the heartbeat of people in rubble, the injured should be relocated to a local hospital or rehabilitation center. Regarding the sheer magnitude of the natural disaster (8.7), the government will be depositing small loans and grants to the businesses that were affected, but there will be a lot of funding from nonprofit organizations that we established as well. The amount of funds deposited into the businesses will depend on how many there are and how much damage they withstood. With these factors in mind, the government will put 2% of our funding into the 13,013 businesses, students, and the needy in Boulder County, Colorado. Circling back to raising awareness of the earthquake, the steps that the public should take to aid people affected by the earthquake are donating to rebuilding causes (perhaps using the nonprofit organization, the Boulder Earthquake Funding Project), businesses, charities, and those who the earthquake directly influenced. Students have been doing a splendid job of housing other students who have no local homes to get back to. Electricity has been a major problem as well. To combat this, we are going to withdraw 1% of our 2% to buy necessary items such as lanterns, blankets, food, water, and electric items that run on batteries (to act as a sit-in for items that run on a cable/electricity). Schools are involved in our funding and nonprofit organization as well.

Campaign Manager

"Your Party awarded $500 million to a failing environmental company that eventually folded. After, evidence surfaced that the company ownership was heavily tied to your candidate’s family. (it was a solar panel company)"

Our party decided to give this money to the company because they were connected to our candidate. We wanted to try to save this company because they are family. We believe that family helps each other out, if your family was struggling, wouldn’t you help them out? I know if my family needed my help, I would do almost anything to help them. If we gave this money to any other company, then that would be problematic. However, this is not just another company, this is the family of our candidate. We do not have anything to do with the business failure. We gave them the support they needed, and it was up to them how to spend the money. We did not have any influence on what it was spent on, we were just the supplier of money. The business owners are responsible for their company and how well it performs in an open market. The money was from our personal accounts, not our campaign funds

I get why a person might not want to watch the news. Another school shooting happened, or testing scores are dropping again. World is going to be set on fire as the glacier melt. Disney world the place of happiness is going to be under sea.

Ignoring the problem is not the goal of the lion party. We don’t want to just stand in the sun claiming how were going to make America great again. No, we want to change gun control, Mexican drug cartel selling drugs to children, climate change carbon emissions, standardized testing use in schools, better options for people to go to college, children starving, and civil assets.

Let’s work together as a nation and set up charity for world hunger, if every person listening donated five dollars imagine what we could do. Protect out borders against the Cartel giving drug to small children. Boycott products made in the Uighurs camps to help the process of setting them free. Speak out against the war in Yemen and US involvement. Join the pride don’t be left behind and vote for the lion party.

Mini Essay

the topic I choose for my mini essay is: gun control in the last 100 years as guns have gotten more advanced and powerful people have had more and more bad intentions on what to do with them. when semi-automatic and full auto weapons came onto the market the amount of shootings raised by 22%. to control this issue we need to put laws in place to prevent the mass shootings and killings of innocent people such as: making it harder to receive a weapon by doing a backround check and only selling to mentally saine people. as well as making sure that people keep their guns locked up and away from kids.
